So we've had a really awesome summer! Lots of busy days, going to flyball and agility and helping mom run classes for Teacher's Pet. I'm a good demo dog in all sorts of ways! We've also helped with Teacher's Pet to run two sessions of a summer day camp where kids are matched with a shelter dog. It's the same idea with the year-round Teacher's Pet program, only it lasts for 10-12 weeks and the kids are either at-risk or in juvenile centers. We just started our first session of that and it's really fun. The kids are from Children's Village and are really great. I love going! Anyways, here are some summer pictures featuring the one and only :) Enjoy!

Macinac Island
Sorry it's taken me so long to update. We just moved a couple of months ago and it took us over a month and a half to get internet :P Anyways, back in June my mom and I went up to Macinac Island to participate in the Lilac Festival with our therapy dog group. One of our friends from the group actually owns a condo on the island, so we stayed with her and a few others in the group. It was fun to be roomies for a few days :) I LOVED the island. Horses are everywhere! There are actually nor cars allowed on the island. It's likle stepping back in time! Our group participated in both the Epona and Barkus Dog and Pony parade, and won the costume contest for the third year in a row. The theme this year was 'The American Circus'. We had a ring master, a jester, a tightrope walker, a fortune teller, a lion, and I was a magician. We also represented TDI in the Grand Parade. The Lilac Festival is a pretty big deal on Macinac, so there were tons of people. I got lots of love :) Well, here are some of the pictures. You can check out my mom's blog for all of the rest. Enjoy!

Got Air?
This weekend was SOOOOO exciting :D I had my very first dock diving competition. Now this is a dog sport I can really get into! I am a freak around water, and this was really no different. I jumped in a splash the first day and another the second day, including the finals :) Each splash is two jumps. On Saturday I jumped 11 feet, then 13 feet. On SUnday, I jumped 14 feet, then a wopping 17 FEET!!! I ended up being in the finals for the senior division! That's quite a rarity for dogs in their very first competition. Mom's really proud. My next events are a two-day event at River Days in Detroit, the big festival on the river. That is June 20-21. Then I have an event in Kalamazoo called Woofstock. That's a one-day event on July 18. Can't wait to see how I do then :D Enjoy the pictures!
